Background: High self-esteem will raise self-esteem, self-esteem, sense of self-confident, feeling good and feeling that his presence is necessary. Family social support are also defined as the attitudes, actions and acceptance of people with a sick family. Social support in the form of attitudes and acceptance from parents or family will have a big impact in the process of establishing a positive self-esteem.
Target of Research: Known relationship of family support with dignity Mental Disorder Patients in the outpatient unit of poly Mental RSJD.Dr.RM.Soedjarwadi Regency of Klaten.
Research method: The method used in this analytic descriptive study design was cross-sectional. Samples from the study were 86 mental patients who perform outpatient Mental in the outpatient unit of poly Mental RSJD.Dr.RM.Soedjarwadi Regency of Klaten. The statistical analysis used was Spearman Rank correlation test with a significance of 5%.
Result of research: The majority of outpatient unit of poly Mental RSJD.Dr.RM.Soedjarwadi Regency of Klaten have social support in general is in the moderate category (67.4%). Most sources of social support received from the respondent's mother. The majority of self-owned outpatient unit of poly Mental RSJD.Dr.RM.Soedjarwadi Regency of Klaten are in middle category (76.5%).
Conclusion: There is a relationship between social support with self owned outpatient unit of poly Mental RSJD.Dr.RM.Soedjarwadi Regency of Klaten (Score = 0.253, p value = 0.019).
